Acting in Plays, Singing/finding scenes for a showcase at school

Question
hey there,
two of my friends and me need to find a scene for our high school showcase, but we've been having a little trouble...
we are all girls and need about a 15 min scene from a published play, so if you could give us a couple of 'em, it would be VERY greatly appreciated, as we are all freshmen in high school and are not very familiar with any good scripts, authors, etc.
thank you for any help!!

Answer
Hi there, Caroline...And thanks for writing.

Have you looked in your public library?  If you look in some library systems, they will have books that actually categorize plays by how many females (F)or males (M) are in the play.

The best way to find one that suits the 3 of you is to look in your library for this kind of categorization - 3F or 3 Females.  And try to find a part of the piece that you can relate to so that you can present it best.

As I do not know you very well nor do I know your talent, this is the best that I can do from here.

You will need to be persistent and spend time looking.

Does that help you?
