Acting in Plays, Singing - acting auditions

Expert: John T. Aney - 6/22/2009

Question
John,
My names Brooke, I'm 14 years old, soon to be 15. I am very interested in acting, it has always been my passion and i want to make it my career. I'm suppose to go to KD studios for an acting camp so i can get an agent with the Campbell Agency. But i have been trying to find auditions on my own, because its summer and i cant attend camp until the end of summer. Do you know of any acting auditions? Or maybe recommend some sites i could visit to find auditions? I just cant find any..
Thank You, Brooke.

Answer
Brooke,

My advice to you right now is to enjoy your summer.

You are only 14.  You have your whole life ahead of you.  You are already planning on going to summer camp at KD Studios - that's enough for you for now.  If you absolutely need something to do until camp, find a job that earns you some money that you can save.  If you really want to become an actor, you are going to need to have some money saved up.

Go to camp, have a good time, and then write again when camp is done.
