I am trying to get a head start on preparing for theatre school auditions next year. Know of any?

Answer
Hi there, Stefani...Thanks for writing.  Good question.

I would suggest taking a look at plays by contemporary playwrights.  Search with Google contemporary playwrights and make note of who they are and then read their stuff.

Judith Thompson and Norm Foster can get you started.

You can also go libraries and such monologues by these same authors.  Judith Thompson's Perfect Pie is a really good pick.

The search is a difficult one I know.  But if you are willing to read and to look until you find one that you like, I think it will benefit you.

Does that help you?
