Acting in Plays, Singing/Audition help
Expert: Sean Martinfield - 6/4/2010
QuestionHello!
I'm singing "You Can't Get a Man With a Gun" for my audition, but don't have the slightest clue when it comes to sheet music for the accompanist. I believe I want to sing it in E flat. How do I find sheet music in that key? Thanks for your help, I need to know asap...obviously lol.
AnswerHello, Sara –
Thank you for the question. Knowing about sheet music and Broadway auditions go hand-in-hand.
There are a number of sites that carry Broadway material which can be transposed.
Click on or enter the URL below to find:
"You Can't Get a Man With a Gun"
http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/scorch.asp?ppn=SC0125878
Once you're there, look in the tool bar for the icon of two flats. Click on that. A window opens – choose the key you need.
