About Sean Norkus
Expertise
Having stage managed numerous productions over the last seven years (Musicals, Children`s Theatre, One-Act Festivals, etc), I can answer questions related to stage management at both the Community Theatre and professional level. I have also directed and performed in many shows, and would be able to answer questions about basic performance and directing techniques.

Experience
As stated above I have stage managed many productions, both at the professional and community theatre level. The same goes for the directing and performance aspects of theatre as well.

Acting in Plays, Singing - Choosing a song for children's musical

Expert: Sean Norkus - 1/6/2007

Question
After reading your profile and seeing that you've participated in stage management for Children's Theatre, I was wondering if you could help me pick a simple song for our Middle School Musical. I don't know what altos or tenors or sopranos are, so I'd just like a Disney song that would be appealing to the judges. Thanks!

Answer
Dear Emily,

Hello and thank you for your question. If you are looking for a Disney song, I would suggest any of Jasmine's songs from Aladdin. Those are all very good songs that work well as audition numbers.

Above all, make sure that you pick a song which you have fun performing. If you are having fun on stage, it will make your audition all the better.

Hopefully these suggestions will help you in picking a song that is right for you.

Break a Leg,
Sean
