Acting in Plays, Singing/Comedic monologue appropriete for "Anything Goes: audition.

QuestionWell, I a sophomore at my high school, 15, and my high school is putting on "Anything Goes" as our spring musical. I am very certain that i have a high percentage of getting the role of Reno Sweeney, but for auditions, we are to prepare our own monologue, preferably comedy and having to do somewhat with the plot or a character's situation in "Anything Goes". I am having a hard time find one. it should be 1-2 minutes long. like a paragraph or two. it also should be somewhat catholic-school appropriate. do you have any suggestions?! auditions are on 12/17,18,19 so if you can help me, I'm in need of a slightly immediate response.
AnswerHi Emily...Thanks for writing. And congrats on the audition.
Where have you looked for a monologue? Have you looked in the library? Have you googled monologues online and read some of the summaries to find one that is about something you like? There are many books out there as well as options for you.
In the library, there are monologues for different ages and categorized as comedies and dramatic.
Online I just googled monologues for teens and found this link:

The first one is a humorous monologue that might work for you.
Does that help?
