Acting in Plays, Singing/Tall ACcress

Question
I am a very tall actress (5'9!). I was wondering if you know if/how my height will be an advantage OR disadvantage in theatre, because I would like to know what kinds of roles I will most likely be considered for (which will ultimately determine what kind of shows I will try out for.) Thank you!

Answer
Joanna,

There is no reason you should ever let your height prevent you from auditioning for any roles.  Dealing with your height is up to the director - not for you to worry about.  If you are talented and develop a reputation for working hard, your height should never be an issue.
