Question
hi there,
i am 14 years old and fro the UK and i am nearing my exams and in the school production, i have a chance to play a main roll in a school production, as the main character dropped out, but i like the character I'm playing now but it would be so good to play the character but it would be hard work to learn the script in time, what with my exams and all, what should i do, main character and be a star or the character i am now and do well in the exams?

Answer
Your first responsibility is to your school work.  If you are concerned about learning the lines in time while you are preparing your exams, you should be more focused on your exams.  Stick with the role you have, work hard to prepare for your exams, and enjoy the experience.  You may have lots of opportunities to play better characters in the years to come.
