Question Hello, my name is Ashley and I was wondering wich are all Colin Farrells films and wich ones are good. Movies Rock! thanx
Answer Colin Farrell has been in alot of films. His films include:
S.W.A.T., Veronica Guerin (Cameo Appearance), Daredevil,
The Recruit, Phone Booth, Minority Report, Hart's War
American Outlaws, Tigerland, Ordinary Decent Criminal,
The War Zone, Falling for a Dancer, Drinking Crude.
Of the which I haven't seen all of them but of the ones I have seen I can offer my oppinion on them.
S.W.A.T : Although this movie plays alot like a tv movie the action kept the movie at a face pace and kept my boredom level to a minimal. Colin Farrell plays the role well
Daredevil: Although the comic book hero is not well known, it didn't stop this movie from topping the box office the first weekend of its release. I saw this movie twice in its first weekend. Not many people liked it because of Ben Affleck. However, I chose to look past the actor adn enjoy the movie. Colin Farrell is devilishly cool as the bad guy and I hope to see him in a bad guy role soon again (maybe for a Daredevil 2 or 3??)
Phone Booth: I know the concept of a movie taking place in a phone booth doesn't sound all that interesting and believe me when I first heard the premise I said "Yea right, they can't make a movie off of such a lousy premise". Boy was I wrong. Not only was this a very strong thriller, it showed how a regular Joe could be put in such a life threating predicament. Colin Farrell plays well here too.
Minority Report: Steven Spielberg is at it again. This futuristic thriller where people are foretold if they will be killed or be the killer is an excellent adaptation of the Philip K. Dick short story. Colin Farrell plays a short role but his presence is still known.
Some future releases to look for that star Colin Farrell:
Ask the Dust (2005): In the Robert Towne-directed adaptation of John Fante's Depression Era novel, Hayek will play the fiery Mexican beauty Camilla who hopes to rise above her station by marrying a wealthy American. That is complicated by meeting Arturo Bandini (Farrell), a first-generation Italian hoping to land a writing career and a blue-eyed blonde on his arm.
The New World(2005): A Terrence Malick-scripted drama about explorer John Smith and the clash between Native Americans and the British in the 17th century.
Alexander (2004): Conquering 90% of the known world by the age of 25, Alexander the Great (Farrell) led his armies through 22,000 miles of sieges and conquests in just eight years. Coming out of tiny Macedonia, Alexander led his armies against the mighty Persian Empire, drove west to Egypt, and finally made his way east to India. This film will concentrate on those eight years of battles, as well as his relationship with his boyhood friend and battle mate, Hephaestion. Alexander died young, of illness, at 33. Alexander's conquests paved the way for the spread of Greek culture (facilitating the spread of Christianity centuries later), and removed many of the obstacles that might have prevented the expansion of the Roman Empire. In other words, the world we know today might never have been if not for Alexander's bloody, yet unifying, conquest.
A Home at the End of the World (2004): Two childhood friends face their past relationships, including their own, alongside a new friend in the 1980's in New York City. Their friendship becomes a love triangle as they struggle with a father's death and an unexpected pregnancy. Together, the shall face each other as they realize that everything they have may not be what they expected.
Intermission (2004): Intermission is an urban love story about people adrift and their convoluted journeys in the search for some kind of love. When the desperately insecure and emotionally inarticulate John breaks up with Deirdre to 'give her a little test' his plan backfires leaving her broken-hearted and him alone and miserable. Through chance and coincidence, their break-up triggers a roller coaster ride of interweaving escapades in the lives of everyone around them. Intermission presents a slice of life, the passage between breaking up and making up, exploring how our lives intersect, and the power we all possess to affect the lives of those around us.
