Hey Aaron, I made a bet with my friend who sits beside me in  class and said that Neo dies. Well frankly I'm not sure so I would very much apreciate if you told me. (The Matrix is pretty hard to follow you got to admit eh).

I hope the bet works for you because Neo does die in "The Matrix Revolutions" against Agent Smith. Agent Smith as well dies or is deleted as he is just a program and by that time would be described more like a virus.

There are so many explanations that could be given but one thing that is sure in all fans minds is Neo does die fighting for both the machine world and the Human world. For if he hadn't have Agent Smith clearly would have destroyed both as he had no more compassion for either side.

To explain this (stay with me now) is to explain it this way. Neo allows Agent Smith to turn him into a clone. However Since Neo was jacked in (its how they get into the Matrix) at the source this also eliminates Agent Smith as with every program that doesn't have something important to do in the Matrix is supposed to return to the source. In doing so however Neo must sacrifice himself. So He dies for the people of Zion and Peace between the Robots and Humans. Quite a complex story eh?
