About Jamie
Expertise
I am a HUGE movie buff and have probably seen any movie you`re searching about several times. I can answer 100% of questions about Lord of the Rings: the movies, the actors, locations, what have you. Any other big epic films like Star Wars, Van Helsing, Troy, Indiana Jones, or any other you can think of, I can help with. Not just epic films, but any film, probably. I love talking about this stuff, so I will give you detailed answers. I usually check my email everyday, as well, so I`ll be prompt. Please leave me feedback so I know how I can better help not just you but everyone who calls upon my expertise! :D

Experience
I have seen just about every movie you can think of.

Question
Hey, I thought I would ask a question because I loved the movie Van Helsing and was just curious about the way in which the movie has been made so that you get the whole action adventure feeling. The editing of shots, special effects, the way the camera moves, the colours, costumes all those types of things. This type of stuff I find really interesting how certain things are done in the film and how you get the connotations and that. You opinions, thoughts etc would be really appreciated , thanks! Jess

Answer
I am completely on board with you in this, jessica! that's what i love about movies. its actually amazing how all these different elements are worked by all different kinds of people to bring you into this fantasy world for just a few hours.
My favorite subject by far is costuming.  I had aspired for the LONGEST time to be a costume designer for films.  I am still doubting today the direction i'm headed in anthropology.  i'm torn between it and a fashion major...lol...quite opposite ends of the spectrum, hey?

if you really want to get down and dirty with the technical aspects and such, my best recomendation would be to check out the extras on the dvds. in movies like van helsing, they ALWAYS have cool stuff like that...i also recommend checking out the extras on the Underworld and Lord of the Rings dvds...HOURS of awesome watching...

have fun!
-Jamie
