DEAR JAMIE,
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!! THE TITLE OF THE MOVIE ELUDES ME AND IS VERY DISTURBING. I SAW THE MOVIE YEARS AGO. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF IT WAS AN ENGLISH MOVIE. I HAVE GONE INTO GOOGLE AND VIEWED AT LEAST 50 PAGES OF MOVIE TITLES AND PLOTS AND HAVE NOT FOUND IT. I WONDER IF THE WORDS " HERO ", " TRAITOR ' " FALSE " " SPY " DID NOT APPEAR. THE CLOSEST I COULD GET WAS "AN UNLIKELY SPY, " BUT, THE PLOT SUMMARY WAS A LITTLE OBSCURE. THE MOVIE ALSO DEALS WITH THE DELIBERATE AND COLD-BLOODED SACRIFICE OF THE BRITISH TO SEND THE POOR FELLOW OVER. THE MOVIE STARTS WITH THE INTERROGATION OF POSSIBLE SPIES FOR OVERSEAS MISSION. A MAN AND A WOMAN DO THE INTERVIEWING. ONE OF THE APPLICANTS ADMITS THAT HE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO HOLD OUT UNDER TORTURE, AND WONDERS WHY HE WAS CHOSEN. HE IS TOLD NOT TO WORRY, THAT THE CYANIDE CAPSULE WILL SAVE HIM FROM TORTURE AND REVEALING WHATEVER HE KNEW. THIS IS FALSE, AND HE REVEALS ALL WHEN THE CAPSULE DOESN'T WORK. THE RAF BOMB THE PRISON TO ADD AN AIR OF AUTHENTICITY TO HIS STORY. HE DIES, NOT KNOWING WHAT A GREAT HERO HE REALLY WAS.
I WOULD IMAGINE THE MOVIE WAS MADE IN THE 40'S OR 50'S, AS THEY STOPPED MAKING FILMS WITH INTELLIGENT PLOT ABOUT THAT TIME AND STARTED RELYING ON PRETTY FACES AND EXPLODING CARS.

This movie sounds SO COOL! that plot summary makes me even more angry and frustrated that i can't find it...AAHHHH! my dad would love it as well.
