unknown star ship
QUESTION: I have a 2001 or 2002 green, yellow and white star wars ship it has a pointed tip and the wing are at the back. It looks realy cool but i dont know whats its called please help heres a pic

ANSWER: Thanx for the question.  You have Kit Fisto's Jedi Starfighter.  From the Clone Wars release.  It was a 2006 Target exclusive.  Yours seems to be missing the 2 'blast off panels' that cover the side missles.  Unless you just took them off for the photo.  Other features were: 2 missles, droid, firing blaster cannons and spring open wings.  Nice little detailed ship.  Hope that helps.  Dave

QUESTION: where can i get the 2 'blast off panels' that cover the side missles?

Answer
Try local flea markets, garage sales or consignment shops. GoodWill is worth a try as well.  Look for discount bins that contain mostly well used items in some type of disrepair.  Great for completing your collection. Harder and more time consuming to find there but probably cheaper.  If all else fails try any of the numerous online auction sites.  Ebay would be my first destination.  You may have to be patient but eventually the items will show up over time.  They may be part of a bigger lot of items so you may really have to study any pictures. I have completed many partial items and collections this way.  Good luck!  Dave

Expertise

I am a graduate and self studied/taught expert in answering specific questions about vintage Star Wars and GI Joe figures, vehicles and misc. collectables. The reference to Star Wars 'vintage', to me, refers to the items which appeared from 1977 to 1985. Notice this also refers to the elusive items which were produced for the two cartoon series productions. 'Vintage' GI Joe items include only the 12 inch / 1:6 height variety produced proir to 1980. In most cases I should be able to identify an item by description. For approximates on value I of course would need some decent photos.

Experience

I have been a collector, buyer, seller and general fan, of vintage toys, for the last 30 years. My schooling and self study has included years of research and travel to various events. I have owned/still own numerous examles of many collections for study, research and comparison. I am still an avid trader, buyer and seller of these and several other high quality items.
