I have an original figure from 1964, with MOST of the accessories. I was looking around the internet and couldn't find an accurate value of the figure; can you direct me to a site or a location where I can have it appraised, or even an estimate yourself?

Hi there Chris,

While the larger G.I. Joe 'dolls' aren't really my specialty, I can give you some basic information to get you started.

First, I'm assuming the figure is not in it's package? Do you have any of the documentation that came with it? The value of many collectible items, including action figures is based on quite a few variables. These include things like:

Condition - such as 'mint' 'near mint' etc.
Accessories - you did mention you have most of them.
Packaging, etc

In order to truly appraise the figure you have, it would require very specific details, pictures, etc of the figure in question. In order to get a general idea of what you might actually GET for the figure, your best bet will be places like Ebay and such. If you want your figure professionally graded and a value estimation made, I would suggest a site such as Action Figure Authority ( http://www.toygrader.com/ ). This is a pay-process, however, and whether that is suitable for your situation is up to you.

To give a general value of the figure is difficult at this point. You're best bet, besides hiring a service, is to cruise Ebay and try to find a lot which is very similar to your own figure. This, however, will only give you the price that people are paying currently for the item.
