Hi David,

I know this is not you exact are of expertise, but I am trying to find information about a toy I used to have as a child (approx 1979-1981).  It was a construction yard playset with 3 or 4 vehicles which would transport a pile of little plastic balls around the playset in a loop (i.e. the dumptruck carried them to a spot and dumped them down a ramp, which unloaded into a loading vehicle, which took them to an elevator, etc.)  It required batteries, and each section would activate in turn.

Please let me know if you can remember this toy, and if you have any information about it (pictures or name).

It is a little out of my line but I think I may have had one myself.   If so you may be looking for the '1977 TOMY BIG LOADER CONSTRUCTION SET #5001'.  It seems to have had all or most of the things you listed above.  Try a Google or Ebay search and you should be able to make sure if that is the exact one or at least points you in the right direction.  Hope helps....Happy Hunting!....Dave

I am a graduate and self studied/taught expert in answering specific questions about vintage Star Wars and GI Joe figures, vehicles and misc. collectables. The reference to Star Wars 'vintage', to me, refers to the items which appeared from 1977 to 1985. Notice this also refers to the elusive items which were produced for the two cartoon series productions. 'Vintage' GI Joe items include only the 12 inch / 1:6 height variety produced proir to 1980. In most cases I should be able to identify an item by description. For approximates on value I of course would need some decent photos.
