Subject: White Resin for 1/6th scale Head

Question
Hello, I want to start making molds of a custom 1/6th scale head that fits onto a 1/6 Dragon body. I know how to make the mold, but I do not know where to buy the proper white resin (plastic) to get the right finished product that can be painted and such. Do you know of any online stores that sell the proper mixes to make the right type of white resin molds for a head like this? I found one site that sells plastic, but not sure what to get, the site is http://www.tapplastics.com/
Is there anything on that site that I can use?

Thank you for your time.

Answer
E-mail me at DSR@npt.com, and I can give you someone who's a professional toy sculptor to give you the correct info. I don't want to post his e-mail here and start having allot of people bugging him with questions.
I used to buy 2 part resins from a company out of California called "Vagabond", I think they're still around. I used to buy it in 55 gallon drums, but know they sell in small amounts like 2 quarts.

This type of Plastic is called "Resin" by collectors, but the correct name is PU (Poly Urethane).

Also, MAKE SURE you use in a well ventilated space, and wear gloves. The vapors are very harmful, especially if you are using it allot. The guy at Vagabond, Conrad, who would make custom PU mixes for me, never beleived in ventilation or gloves, and he ended up dying from Cancer from exposure to the PU fumes and liquids.

Also, watch where you mix this at, anything spilled or dripped on anything will harden to solid plastic that's next to impossible to clean up, so you'll need disposable gloves, paper containers, plastic covers on tables, etc.

You can also color it, but again, same thing with the dyes. They're impossible to get out of anything they spill on, and toxic.
