Question
Hello,
I am runing a CS server on our office lan and am wondering how to change maps or pick certain maps from the console mid-game.
Any help would be cool, thanks.

Answer
Hi Martin

The command you're looking for is "/changelevel xx_xxxx", e.g., "/changelevel de_dust" which would switch the current map with "Dust". You have to know the exact file name of the maps you're going to switch over to though, some of the popular ones are "de_cbble", "de_prodigy", "de_aztec",
"de_nuke", "de_train","cs_assault","cs_estate", etc.

Alternatively, look for and edit "mapcycle.txt" in your cs folder. Delete any maps that you dont like and add in any maps that you just downloaded. Editing mapcycle.txt affects the automatic switching of maps, but will still allow you to change the map manually with "changelevel"

Hope that helped.

Luis
