Question Hi Trev, I am inexperienced with electronic games and I want to buy something ASAP. (I am stuck at home sick for a few weeks & I need entertainment!)
Should I buy something like a Playstation for the TV, or just use on my small PC (Windows 95, P75 16 megabites RAM) - I know little about these things.
I like shooting stuff & flying games/simulations - I've played Doom II & loved it, but now bored with it.
Please advise me, thanks a lot. Colin
Answer Well there are two games I highly recommend that will last you those 3 weeks easily.
The first is the X-Wing Trilogy available from Lucasarts.com and possibly a big computer store like CompUSA.
That game alone should last you 3 weeks as it is X-Wing, Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance. It is a space simulation game based in the Star Wars universe. They all have huge plots and are a great deal of fun.
Also recommended is Worms 2 from team17. You'll probably have to order this one online as more stores won't carry it now that it's sequel is out, www.team17.com. The sequel, Worms Armageddon, needs a Pentium 133 to run. Worms 2 only needs a pentium 75. This game is possibly the most addictive ever. It involves teams worms shooting at each other with bazookas, shotguns, exploding sheep, etc. There is a lot of strategy involved in this seemingly simple game.
