Question I have been playing CS for almost 5 months now. My question is, what is the best way to set the controls. If it's possible, can you give me info on how you set your keyboard controls.
Mine isn't set up in a normal way. I use the mouse with the left hand and the keyboard with the right. So I have changed the normal presets.
I'm also using reverse mouse. I'm not left handed though. Just with first person shooters like halo and quake.
Also I need some tips in combat fighting. I'm trying the crouch and walk techniques while on combat but sometimes it's not effective. Also I asked a pro in CS on how to master the recoil of the weapon but doesn't want to tell me. Are you playing on the NET? Please tell me what server you are in Tnx in advance.

Answer Hey! Nice to know an enthusiastic CS player. The controls: the best configuration would be changing your buy configurations from default to "Z,X,C,V,B". This way, it is easier and quicker to purchase weapons. The crouch and walk technique is effective in certain circumstances such as when you are in a wide open area- this helps prevent incoming sniper bullets but don't overdo it: it really takes practice. I would say, jumping helps more than crouching- you want to level your "torso area" as much as you can on non-semiautomatic gun fights. On combat fighting, don't underestimate the use of the switch button which is Q in the default setup. Always have a knife in handy. Two advantages, it brings: Makes you move faster, and lethal in closed spaces. About the recoil of the weapon, there are various ways to do it in the "~" screen. The codes have changed in the new version. Try searching this in the search engine. I haven't been playing lately in the NET due to vast reasons but I would love to let you know, when I am available.
