Subject: How to run ASP files

Question
Hello,
I have installed IIS 5.1 and put one asp file in
wwwroot, i can run htm files, but cant run asp file.
Is thr anything like iis manager and then we have to give permission to run asp pages, i cant find iis mnager in windows XP, plz help

Answer
Hi

Open Control panel and click administrative tools then click Internet Information Services which will open IIS.

Open Home Directory Tab and make sure your asp file located in the local path.   Click the configuration button check asp listed in the mappings.

Makesure you open in IE browser like http://localhost/yourfile.asp
