Question
hi i'm 14 years old and want to get into the acting business.
is there any advice you could give me to get me noticed?
also should i start out with an acting coach or school or something?

Answer
Hi Kaysie,

Simply put, yes you should get acting training, IF you really want to be an actor for the love of acting.

A lot of people want to become actors for the wrong reason - they want to be famous. There's a hint of that in your question when you ask how to get noticed.

True actors love to tell stories. The financial reward (which is usually very little) and the fame (which very, very few get) is not as important to them as the craft of acting.

You should examine your reasons for wanting to be an actor. If you can truthfully say to yourself that fame and wealth are not your motivating factors, then get back to me and I'll give you further advice.

Think very, very hard about this. This is a critical question about whether you have the right stuff to become a true actor or whether you just want to see yourself on TV.

I hope this helps.
