Acupressure/Your book
Expert: John R. Cross - 10/11/2010
QuestionQUESTION: Dr Cross,
In your book "Acupressure: clinical applications in musculo-skeletal conditions" you describe the associations between the muscles, organs, meridians, chakras.
I understand that there are points on the body that, if muscle tested, would reveal imbalances in the body organs.
In other words, it may be a map of association "points - organs". Not on the feet, or hands, or legs, but the rest of the body: upper and below the waist.
Would appreciate if you comment on this information and refer me to it. (Hopefully it's available).
Thank you,
B
ANSWER: Hello B,
I'm not too sure what you mean. Applied Kinesiolgy and its 'lay' version of 'Touch For Health' are both designed to utilize muscle testing on acupoints to ascertain organic imbalance. John and Mathew Thie's book on Touch For Health is an excellent one to show this.
I am combining the acupressure books on musculo-skeletal and medical conditions next year in a completely revamped single tome. I aim to cover this topic more thoroughly than I did in the book you mention. Let me know if you want any more information. Best wishes - John

QUESTION: Thank you, Dr. Cross.
I do have 'Touch For Health' book. It describes testing the MUSCLES all over the body, and in the body different positions, sitting, lying, standing.
To clarify my question, I was asking about touching certain meridian points (on the front upper body and somewhat below the waist), preferably in standing position.
And then muscle testing them in order to determine imbalances in the body ORGANS (not muscles).
I hope my second attempt of the question have been better.
I appreciate your time.
Thanks again.
AnswerSorry to be a bit vague. You may test ANY Command point to ascertain if the associated organ is in need of treatment. The best ones though are the so called 'Alarm' points (also called the Front Collecting or Mu points. They are to be found in two of my books - 'Reflected Energy Pathways' or 'Concise book of Acupoints'. Let me know if you want me to scan them and send them to you - or do you have them?
Best wishes, John
