Acupressure/Positioning of fingers in Leg length differential

Question
Dear Dr.Cross,
In your book on acupressure you have specified treatments for balancing limb length differences.I need the following clarifications.

1)You have mentioned pair of points like Sp4 and p6 for Yin1 as well as some for Yang .

I would like to know how to do this ? for eg. Yin1 (Sp4 ans P6) Does it mean I need to press  both Sp4 and P6 together at the same time with my fingers(same fingers of both left and right hand ).

2)Then following it with Reversed Yin1 (changing the polarity of fingers),if I  assume middle finger of women stimulates and index finger sedates (and vice versa for men) , does changing polarity not nullify the effect or it just balances the energy flow.

Regards,
Akila.

Answer
Hello Akila,

Thankyou for the question. I don't understand what you mean by "middle finger of women stimulates and index finger sedates". I have never heard of this and this is not what I mean in that book by Yin 1 reversed. If you check earlier in the book on 'Magnetism of the Hand' you will see that each finger have either a negative or positive magnetic charge. In Type 1 leg length imbalance (with a sacral problem), you use the middle fingers on PC 6 and SP 4 on the side of the body that has the short leg - touch the points for about 20 seconds. This is followed by the same points on the long leg side, this time using the index fingers. It does NOT negate what you have just done but helps with the de-rotation of the pelvis. Think of it like adjusting a painting on the wall - you need to pull down on the right as well as up on the left.

This book was written 11 years ago when I used the Key points on the 8 extraordinary meridians to do the leg length adjustments. In my book on 'Healing with the Chakra Energy System' I discuss how to use the where the finger pads are placed on the Hand and Foot chakra (PC 8 and KI 1) points. I find this much simpler and equally effective.

I hope this helps and doesn't sound confusing.

Best wishes, John
