QUESTION: DEAR JOHN   my 13 yrs old son has some symptoms of ADD.he is impulsive n inattentive to some extent.he has improved greatly after he had a few sessions with an acupuncturist.the thing is the acupuncturist says that my childs pulse is now  balanced but some impulsive behaviour  is still present.he is brilliant at grasping in school too but he is not too good at expressing himself.there was some humidity in his right brain which has been cured now but he isnt completely well.besides he is in a hurry always to finish his school work and makes silly mistakes as a result.i would appreciate your help .thank you in advance

QUESTION: well he is impulsive ...replies without thinking,inattentive,at times will be lost in his own world even as he is being spoken to,absent minded,has to be reminded several times for tiniest things,he isnt able to organise his answer in a proper sequence which can be understood by others.previously he wasnt able to comprehend much in school and he suffered from depression too along with repeated ear infections but after acupuncture that is healed.but he still is low in confidence,little timid too.he is better than average in maths but weak in languages.his hyperactivity has now calmed down to a large extent.he started walking at 8 months of age but talking at 2.3 yrs.his voice is loud n shrill n he likes to lie down at most times..says he is tired.i regularly give him acupressure including the points you have mentioned for chakra balancing.thank you for replying

Hello Kookie,

 Was there any birth trauma?? Or did he have any accident when very young that could have given him any upper cervical or cranial base compression - just a thought. Maybe acupressure isn't what he needs. It sounds as if he may benefit from seeing a cranio-sacral therapist or cranial osteopath to check the cerebro-spinal fluid levels in the spinal cord. I see many children and young adults with such symptoms and there is nearly always some kind of physical trauma in the past. If not - let me know, John
