Acupressure/Reading your book "Healing with the Chakra Energy System".
Expert: John R. Cross - 6/24/2011
QuestionQUESTION: Dr. Cross,
I have been reading your great book "Healing with the Chakra Energy System". (I am a big fan of Energy Medicine, using it for myself, and can muscle test).
Would appreciate your comment.
I understand, speaking generally, that when we say "the body can heal itself", we mean that the body healing intelligence can heal everything THAT THIS HEALING INTELLIGENCE CAN SEE in the body. And some times various factors, for example, energy obstacles, virus, bacteria, etc., create "curtains" that prevent healing intelligence access.
If my understanding is correct:
1. How can we find / test for these curtains' presence in certain locations on the body?
2. How, energetically, can we remove these curtains?
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
B
ANSWER: WOW - this is a BIG question to answer. Books have been written trying to explain these things. However I'll try and cover the salient points as I see them.
I like your analogy of calling any imbalance that occurs within the body and mind structure as 'curtains'. It used to be said that we were born in a 'perfect' state with perfect Vital Force. This is obviously untrue as most of us are born with anomalies within our blood chemistry and genetic disposition. Added to this we receive certain 'curtains' from reactions to vaccinations and drugs #that are mostly suppressive and foreign to the human body field# and the vagaries of life including accidents, injuries, mental trauma and shock. I believe strongly though that we are always attempting to right these wrongs with our own built in healing mechanism. Symptoms of dis-ease occur when our vital force cannot cope with some or other of this bombardment.
We can test for these intrusions in many different ways - blood tests e.g. for bacterial and viral attacks or the obvious tests for mechanical and mental imbalance. There are, though, many ways of detecting our Vital Force and the presence of anomalies using the subtle techniques that have been handed down over millennia from the Traditional Medical philosophies. These could include tongue, abdomen, pulse diagnosis from Chinese, Japanese and Ayurvedic traditions as well as the many ways of 'dowsing' the body's 'field' for these 'curtains'. A radiesthesia practitioner would use a hair/blood spot and dowse with a pendulum. An excellent way that I do and teach to my students is to read the body through touch on the heels or the cranium. If the technique is done correctly it cannot fail but give you the correct answers. Muscle testing with Applied Kinesiology is such a test #but I firmly believe that this is only as good as the person who is doing it!#
So once the 'curtains' have been found, how may we remove them. Sadly this takes many years of training in many different disciplines to understand it all. For most types of emotional/mental imbalance I find that good psychotherapy helps - also homeopathy. Mechanical imabalance may be eradicated by gentle soft tissue and bodywork therapy. This is where we have the great advantage of using the chakra energy system in that when the correct chakras are balanced and treated, the CAUSE of the imbalance is addressed. I have proved to myself, my patients and students over 30 years that this system is both subtle and powerful and that it really works. The only time it cannot ever work is when the body has already undergone an irreversible physiological and anatomical change
Hope this helps and please let me know if you want me to explain some more.

QUESTION: Dr. Cross,
Thank you very much for a comprehensive reply. I appreciate your kind willingness to be available for some more explanation.
In your book "Healing with the Chakra Energy System", you present a systematic approach of using various chakra combinations for treatments.
So the readers can make their own conclusion on how to proceed, as to which chakra combinations are better to be worked with for certain cases.
Using similar method, I would appreciate your expanding on systematic approach to energy curtains testing and removing.
For example.
1. What do I specifically do to test for a curtain, when I muscle test (holding certain points, etc)?
2. Also, how do I make conclusions on which chakras/chakra combinations or which meridians/points do I need to use for specific treatment objectives?
In other words, what is the approach for making my own conclusions, on how to proceed, in order to TEST FOR - CLEAR an energy curtain, given specific treatment objectives?
Thanks again for your time.

AnswerHello BK,
The simple answer to your query is to ASK THE BODY! Say, for instance you may be concerned about an imbalance within, say, the liver energy system that is causing symptoms ranging from muscular problems to headaches and anger. With muscle testing you could simply hold the Source point of the liver meridian - LR 4, between the great toe and 2nd toe and muscle test ANY convenient muscle (it doesn't have to be associated with the Liver although it helps#. Test the 'strength' of the muscle firstly, then re test whilst holding the specific acupoint and silently #or aloud# ask if there is an imbalance within this system. If there is an imbalance the muscle should indicate weak whereas before it would be strong. This may be done by choosing any convenient acupoint on the body that is associated with the 'curtain' that you are testing for.
With this knowledge under your belt, you can then proceed to ask the patient #in the same subtle way# which treatment is required for this curtain removal. I personally don't do muscle testing any longer as I found it a bit 'hit and miss', although that may just be me! For many years now I have used body dowsing asking the heels or cranial base the same kinds of questions that you can ask in AK. The body never lies and it is always attempting to heal itself with the most appropriate of methods.
Where in the USA are you? I am hoping to come over the pond next Spring ? May to give workshops in the West coast in San Diego and Calgary across the border in Canada. Best wishes - John
