Acupuncture/Hallux valgus

Question
Hello Heather,
Thank you for your previous answer and your availability.
A client of mine has a hallux valgus at the left foot, right on the Spleen Pancreas path, it's covering SP 2 and SP 3 points. Do you think that it can alterate the good flow of Qi in this meridian ? What do you think of the consequences of a surgery ? I guess it would help having a better flow afterward ? Do you know a softer treatment in TCM ?
Maciocia's diagnosis is on my next Santa Claus list...
Thank you
Best regards
Pascal

Answer
Yes, I think that injury or incision on a channel will impede the flow of qi.  Post surgery scar tissue work and Needling with electrical stimulation across the scar can help. That is a very painful area to needle or massage scar tissue. I would suggests magnet therapy maybe two 1200 gauss magnet north side down one on either end of the scar, or painful area, or on SP2 and SP3.  Leave the magnets on as long as possible.  Possibly 1-2 weeks.  If a rash appears take the magnets off.  There are some good Chinese Herbal foot soak that you can try.  That is more detailed and I would have to see your patient to suggest one. Hope this helps.

Warm Regards,
Heather
