Question
Hello,

I'd like to know if surgery has a possible influence on the meridians'energy flow. I'm thinking more specially about my wife's 2 consecutive caesarians when she had our two children. She has an horizontal scare just upside the pubis bone, so as it's crossed by the Conception Vessel, I'm wondering if it might have a consequence on her health or good Yin energy flow.

Thank you

Pascal

Answer
Hi Pascal,

When there is a cut or incision to the body breaking the skin and causing blood loss will disrupt the balance of the Yin and Yang in the body.  However, with proper diet, rest and perhaps treatment the body will eventually balance itself out through the healing process.

The meridans cannot be sever as they are not a physical anatomical aspect of the body but theoretical in their locations.  The loss of blood and the invasive trauma to the area played a greater role in causing Yin disruption than the cutting of the meridians.

I hope that help.
