Question
Hi I have been dizzy constantly for the past 3 months, and now I get migraines
on and off. I was just wondering if acupuncture would actually help this?

Answer
Hey Jackie, you are in luck,

This is a fairly common problem. I see it regularly in my practice.
This is usually a case of liver blood deficiency causing internal wind(dizziness), combined with liver yang rising which causes the headaches.

Acupuncture to clear the wind and tonify blood, and herbs to clear wind, and clear liver heat from the upper burner should take care of the dizziness and headaches.

My wife had this, it took me about 5 weeks to get her straightened out. You can usually get good relief in a single session, and clear it out more or less in 5 or so visits. After that it is just a matter of maintainance to make sure you keep it in check.
