Question
Hi Heather , I have a friend with lower back pain sustained several years ago - doctors are saying it's caused by 5 crushed vertebrae - there's a degenerative condition as a result and narrowing of the spine . They say there's nothing they can do - I'm concerned the damage and pain will continue - What do you recommend for treatment ?

Answer
Hi Jeff,
5 crushed vertebrae is a very serious and painful condition.  Acupuncture can help diminish the pain and help to keep the area healing. Your friend should really be restricting themselves from lifting very much. A combo of Acupuncture and Herbal formulas would be my recommendation.  It may take 6 months to a year of treatment to see huge improvements.

Good Luck,
