Question
I've had 10 sessions with a chiropracter of manipulation and ultrasound with no change.  A shot of cortisone did not work.  I'm to begin physical therapy next week, but I'm concerned about continued use of Advil for pain.  Can accupuncture help?

Answer
Hello Richard,

Yes, acupunture can help with the pain and to restore motion of the shoulder.  PT will also help.  You may want to find a doctor of chiropractic who specializes in Soft Tissue/Sports Injuries, as they will work directly on the involved muscle tissue to break up adhesions and help restore your normal range of motion.

Have a great day,
Dr. Brendon O'Brien D.C.
