Expert: Dr. Brendon J. O`Brien, D.C. - 4/3/2008

Question
I have for the last 2 years been experiencing terrible tingling, numbness, pain in my feet, weak legs, shooting pain in my toes. i need to knopw if acupuncture will help to alleviate this

Answer
Hello Richard,

Acupuncture may help decrease and improve your symptoms.  Depending on the damaging effects from the chemo, the numbness, tingling, etc may be restored.  Nerves are very slow healing.  You may want to try 6 treatments of acupuncture to see how it affects your condition.  This in conjunction with you M.D. will help determine future treatment options.

Have a great day,
Dr. Brendon O'Brien D.C.
