Acupuncture/Digestive issues/ heat imbalance

Question
QUESTION: Hello, Dr.

I thank you for taking the time to offer your knowledge.
Through visits with my local OMD, I have a heat imbalance in which causes extreme digestive issues.
I am a fitness competitor and through an already restrictive diet, I basically lived on cold beverages for 2 years straight. This has caused havoc on my system by not being able to normalize and process food correctly.
The stomach is weak with being able to pull food down.
Many times I throw up within an hour or so after eating because the food is causing discomfort of just sitting in the stomach, or it actually begins to come up itself.
In addition, because I am afraid to eat in order to avoid the problem, my body bloats, and produces alot of unnecessary gas in the intestinal tract.
This has brought me to the point where I would like to be normal, given my profession of fitness competition, it is important that I maintain my current bodyfat level.
I am finding that it is hard for me to eat anything.I am allergic to wheat, dairy and very sensitive to fats.
My OMD put me on a formula that seemed to begin to help, but I adapted to it, and plan on seeing him shortly.
My question is- I was told to try and eat more of cold and cool natured energy foods.  Through research, I find an extremely limited list.
Is there a more extensive list or resource I can find a list of foods I can try to eat?
WIth the above being said, what would you suggest as a very knowledgeable professional.

ANSWER: Instead of trying different kind of food items to deal with your problem I would like to read your pulse and then decide the line of treatment. You may be having a great deal of anxiety component associated with your nature of job or due to the present physical suffering which may be further aggravating the situation. Kindly consult a good TCM practitioner who diagnose his patients by pulse diagnosis instead of asking questions and dealing with the symptoms only.

QUESTION: Thank you Dr.

You mention that you would like to take a pulse reading in order to further access my condition.
Would this be possible for you to do given our different locations?
I do have anxiety as well, which I take prescription medication for.I'm sure it has a lot to do with my symptoms and condition in addition to my diet restrictions.Your intuition is inspiring.
My current TCM does do a pulse reading, but I believe I need to get another opinion and advice.
I was looking toward a list of foods because I am truly at a stand still with food choices.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Answer
For my expert pulse diagnosis you will have to come to Vancouver with a proper appointment before October 30th as on November 1st I will be leaving on my regular sponsored lecture-cum-treatment tour to Japan, China, Hong-Kong, and India and would be back by January 15th, 2009. Food choices may help you temporarily with recurrence so I would again suggest you to get the things right by the help of accurate pulse diagnosis. In my opinion don't load your body with unnecessary drugs, herbs, and even different types of food as they might complicate the problem.
