Acupuncture/fertility

QuestionHi, my husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child for 4 months now, with no success. I've been charting my cycle, so we're timing intercourse perfectly. I have a history of fibroids, and I'm concerned that this is the culpret. My question is: Is it too soon to see an accupuncturist? I know according to Western Medicine, we haven't been trying long enough to be considered for infertility problems, but I'm 34 and don't want to waste any more time. I've also been wondering if seeing an accu. could help me relax, which might would probably help too! Thanks!
AnswerHey Lori,
My wife was diagnosed with fairly severe fibroids and told by her gyn. that she would not be able to have children. After I started treating her with acupuncture and herbal medicine, she was pregnant within a month. I treated her with herbs throughout her pregnancy to ensure there were no problems along the road.
The last woman I treated, came to me after exhausting the western medical approach, she was pregnant within 5 weeks.
Now is a perfect time to go. Chances are, your acupuncturist will also want to talk to your husband and perhaps treat him with herbs and acupuncture as well to make sure things go swimmingly from his side of the equasion.
There are many acupuncturists who work solely with Western fertility clinics to increase the chances of conception.
Often times my patients check out and snore while they are on the table.
It's great for relaxation.
There are often times some simple reasons for "infertility", some reasons take a little more time than others to rectify, so be patient.
Here's to picking out baby clothes and buying a crib!!

P.S. Acupuncture and herbal medicine is great for taking care of morning sickness as well.
If you have any questions during your pregnancy feel free to shoot me a line.
Congrats!
