Question
My six year old son has been diagnosed with X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy. Would acupuncture or Chinese Traditional medicines be able to help to stop or slow the progression of the disease?

Answer
Hi Bosco,
I was a key note speaker at a United Leukodystrophy  Foundation seminar.  They would be a good resource for you. ULF.org.  Acupuncture and Chinese Herbals can be a great benefit for your son. Adaptogenic Herbs can help in many ways.  You should seek out a qualified Tradional Chinese Medicine practitioner in your area. In the states we have NCCAOM.org to source qualified practitioners.  I am sure their is a board certifying organization in your country. You want to deal with someone that has at least a masters degree(MSOM)or the equiv experience.

Good Luck,
