Acupuncture - Accupuncture for scar tissue and pain after head laceration

Expert: Dr. Man Tran, Ph.D, D.C., L.Ac. - 4/16/2009

Question
Last summer my forehead was lacerated about 2cm long almost to my scull
above my eye. Since it has healed I've had weird itching and burning
sensations local and spread around that side of my head as well as a large
tender lump under the scar I believe in the muscle. Can accupuncture or any
other remedies help with the pain or lump?

Answer
Hi Justin,

Yes, Acupuncture can help with the pain and lump you have.  It is mainly called blood stasis at the area.  The pain and its path may be due to nerve damage to the area.

See an Acupuncturist and he/she will be able to give you relief.
