Question
QUESTION: I am interested in finding out more information on Japanese acupuncture.  Specifically, I would like to learn Shonishin.  I am a Certified Reiki Master Practitioner, and I practice clinically.  Is this technique something that can be learned as a 'stand alone' item that I could add to my current practice, or would I need to complete an acupuncture program with this as an optional course?

ANSWER: Hi Laurel,
I do not practice Japanese Acupuncture.  I know their diagnosis system is intricate.  That is the most important part to doing any kind of modality.  You can learn to use shonishin tools but learning why or where to treat is more important. I could get you in touch with some of the Japanese Acupuncturist I know for more info if you would like.
