Question
QUESTION: Hello Dr.,

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I am 31 yrs old male. Havent been sexually active for the past 7 yr. however 7 yrs ago, the volume of my semen decreased dramatically and basically went from being quite a bit to now being a few drops. in essence I have to wait for least a week to see half a teaspoon of semen volume. In order to figure out the problem, my urologist did an STD check, testicular ultrasound, blood tests and everything so far seemed normal, except that he found a testicular cyst on my left testicle. but he said thats no problem and isnt the cause of my semen decline. he also did cystoscopy recently and thinks he may have found the problem. he says that a sphincter that regulate semen volume to the testicles is loose and is directing some of the semen to go to the urine. And nothing much can be done about that. which means that as of now I am technically infertile.

I was wondering does accupuncture have any solutions? maybe anything it can do to the nerves to ensure that the sphincter works again? any other suggestions you can think of?

ANSWER: Hey Nick,

Without more information, I won't be able to help you.

If you'd like for me to email you an intake, I'd be willing to look it over and give you my take on what's going on with you.

A symptom can have many causes, so I don't feel comfortable spinning the wheel and throwing a dart. ;-)

If you'd like me to send you an intake, just drop me a line at
rscott.malone@gmail.com and I'll shoot one to you asap.

Thanks, have a good one,

R. Scott Malone L.Ac.

QUESTION: whats an intake? sorry for not knowing it.

Answer
Hey Nick,

An intake form is where I look at all your signs and sumptoms to come up with a diagnosis.

It gives me a good picture of what's going on with you so I can try to pinpoint the main issues.

It's a series of questions that give me diagnostic information basically.

Let me know if you'd like one and I'll see what I can come up with for you. In my clinic I charge $50.00 for the intake and diagnosis, but I'll do it for nothing just to see if I can steer you in the right direction.

Have a good one,

Scott
