Question
Hello,
First of all, thanks for providing yourself for questions.  I enjoy reading about alternative medicine and alternative health practices but I guess, being new to finding things on the internet, I have difficulty finding resources for reading about alternative health practices.  Can you direct me to a few websites that you would suggest for learning more and/or keeping up with the latest information?

Answer
There are a few good websites that have that kind of information.  Try to be wary of some of the larger sites as they are more similar to the commercial health magazines that have a mix of minimal useful information with a lot of advertising of the latest fads and/or weight loss products.

For more useful websites try starting with www.drweil.com, http://nccam.nih.gov www.mercola.com/, and www.acupuncture.com.

Have fun in your alternative health adventure!

Expertise

Please ask me about acupuncture and oriental medicine, nutrition, dietary supplements, and herbs. I am always happy to answer questions about how any of these areas relate to your health and well-being, specific conditions, or simply if you would like some information. I specialize in acupuncture for palliative care, acute injuries, chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, bone health, and western supplements.

I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California and hold a Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
