Acupuncture - scar tissue forming inside the knee

Expert: Heather Vandeburg - 8/19/2009

Question
I just had full knee replacement 6 months ago.  I am now forming scar tissue around the inside of the knee confirmed by my surgeon.  Will acupuntcture help me disslove the scar tissue that is forming around the inside of the knee?

Answer
Hi Mary,
Acupuncture would be worth a try.  I know there are auricular(ear) techniques that resolves scars.  Acupuncture gets blood, qi (chee energy) circulation flowing.  It increases the immune response.  So I would say that it can help.

Good Luck,
Heather Vandeburg LAc MSOM diplAc
