Question
Hello..

I have been currently receiving acupuncture treatment since August 2008 for PMS , irregular menstrual cycles.

I have seen improvement from these services but my cycles are still not regular (28-31) days.  They are usually between 21-24 days.  I only had 1 month where i came on on my 28th day.  I guess my question is should i continue treatment or should i find acupuncturist?  I was told that my conditions will be back to normal within 2 or 3 months.  Its been 5 months now i am thinking about giving up.

Thanks

Answer
Hello, hello,

The first thing I would do is bring your concerns to your acupuncturist and see what he/she has to say about the situation.

That being said, I think 5 months is a good amount of time to get something to move.
Sometimes if there is not enough change, or the patient has reached a plateau and dosen't seem to
be changing much I will refer the patient out to see if someone else can help them.

We all do things differently, sometimes a different tack or take on the problem is
the best thing.

Feel free to call upon me as you like in the future, I'm glad to help as I can.
