Question
I have neuropathy in my feet from type 2 diabetes. I need to find a doctor in my area that does acupunture.I also want to know if it is safe and if there are any side affects.  I have high blood pressure that is controlled. I live in Sterling Il.

Answer
Hey Sierra,

Acupuncture is great for neuropathy and circulatory issues of diabetes.
We have the lowest malpractice of any primary care physician, and you can bet if
insurance companies could charge us more they would.
In 12 years I have never had any patient suffer from any side effects from acupuncture.
Sometimes when the herbal dosage is too high for the patient, they suffer a bout of diarrhea
or a little nausea, but that just tells us to adjust the dosage down and it's done.

Make sure you get a proper acupuncturist that does only acupuncture.

Most medical doctors and chiropractors only have a very small fraction of the training
that licensed acupuncturists have.

I would just google acupuncturist or acupuncture and your town and see what shows up.

Good health to you and yours,

Scott
