Acupuncture/Saliva Glands Do Not Function

Question
I had cancerous tumor that was attached under my tongue to my larynx. I received radiation and Chemotherapy. I have been cancer free for 5 and 1/2 years. However, I do not have any saliva. Is there any acupuncture treatments that can help me? I live in Arizona.

Answer
Hi Bob,
Yes I have heard of an auricular (ear) treatment that can restore saliva.  It was a similar situation a patient that had radiation to his salivary gland and afterward it didn't work any longer.  I have had a couple of associates use these points in the ear with great results after a few sessions.  There are 2 salivary gland points on the ear.  You could probably look them up on line or find someone that does Auricular therapy or Auricular acupuncture.  good luck
