Question
Hello,

I have generalized anxiety disorder along with a social phobia and periodic depression. I have not had any luck with traditional treatment. I am wondering what long term success TCM and acupuncture in general can offer.

    Traditional Chinese Medicine is the unsung hero for treatment of mood disorders and phobias.  There are great treatments with both acupuncture and herbs for all the issues you have.  It may be a little tougher for you if you have not responded at all the Western meds.  But I have successfully helped many people with all of the above. The down side to TCM is that you may have to continue treatment ongoing. You may have to take herbs ongoing.  It depends on your presentation.  But I think getting acupuncture once a month is a fair trade off for feeling great.
