Hi
Can the conditions associated with Cerebral Palsy - muscle tone, ataxia, etc be reduced using acupuncture? Are there cases you know of where this has helped? If I am going to seek this treatment for my child of 7 who has quadriplegic CP what should I look out for?

Hi yes acupuncture can help CP. I worked with a pediatric specialist in Guang Zhou China (Guang Zhou University of TCM). He saw many children with CP. I was truly amazed at the results. He did mostly scalp acupuncture. But kids who were flaccid a year earlier were running down the hall. You need to go to someone who is trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Someone that knows scalp acupuncture. The biggest thing is that it will take some time, 6 months to a year of 2 or more treatments a week. In China the kids were coming in every day.
