Question Dear Ms Vandeburg,
Does wearing braces disrupts the meridian/energy pathways? I am planing to have a front tooth out and use braces to align the other teeth. It will be tooth #41 on the lower jaw.(This must be german numbering since the initial evaluation had been in Germany). It is the first incisor on the lower right jaw.
What happens if one tooth gets in the place previously occupied by another tooth? Will that plus orthodontic treatment affect my fertility or any future pregnancy?
I am also planning to have some other teeth extracted which are now rotten.What will the impact be on the meridians once they are out?

Answer Hi Nikki,
Meridians do run thru the mouth and there are practitioners out there that believe that changing teeth positioning changes the flow of the qi. I am not sure if changing your tooth alignment with effect your fertility. That is not my area of speciality. I think that there are some German Acupuncturist that deal a lot with tooth health and positioning to promote health. I know that having poor tooth health can negatively effect your whole body. So you really do need to take care of the teeth that are infected or rotten. There are environmental dentists out there, I would look one up.
