Acupuncture/accupuncture and menier's syndrome

Question
Dr.O'Brien
I have had chronic sinus problems for several years which have not been treated effectively with western medicine.Everything from allergy shots,to compound medications, and including septoplasty.I have endured, but in the winter of 2004 I developed a period of vertigo, ear fullness etc.The specialist did a complete battery of tests and was inclined toward meniers syndrome. However,I live in the midwest.Once spring came and I had air circulating in the home and was out doors a lot, everything went away.I did not have one episode from april of 2005 to this january 2006 when the symptoms came back but not as often.I had some digestive issues such as irritable bowel syndrome(diareah)and recently had a colonoscopy because I am of an age where it is a recommendation, but to rule out any serious situation.Incidentally,I had begun to use acidophillus bacteria and digestive emzymes, and most all digestive issues were controlled also.My specialist now is locked into meniers disease, and I have some right ear hearing loss that he says will be permanent. The weather hasn't changed in Ohio yet,so I can't say if this will mysteriously go away as it did last year.I do believe that all my health related issues may be due to a compromised immune system, and would like to hear your thoughts on what accupuncture might be able to do
Thanks in advance for your reply
Bob

Answer
Hello Bob,

Acupuncture, herbs, and a very strict diet to improve your digestive tract are the main three you may want to try.  Dialy cardio exercise for 30 minutes and chiropractic treatment on the cervical spine may also improve your condition.  It is important that you make global changes for your body, this will yeild the best results.  Sounds like you started on the right track now you just need a more detailed program.  Find a Acupuncturist who is knowledgable in herbology and nutrition.

Have a great day,
