Question
I was in a car accident about 2 years ago. Ive seen about 2 chiropractors within this time frame and i also had a electromyography on 9/13/05 the consultation/testing is abnormal; it is consistant with:Probable c6 radiculopathy, possible left thoracic outlet syndrome. the information coupled w/abnormal imaging findings suggests symptomatic cervical abnormality at the c5-6 level combined w/probable compromise of the or bracial plexus.
my question is i am not seeing anyone right now and the pain i experience is telling me that something is not healing correctly. Is there any way if i go see a acupuncture would they be able to deterimine if the injuries from the accident are healed.

Answer
Hello Rose,

You may want to have a MRI of the cervical spine to determine if your injuries have healed.  A MRI will show all soft tissues, Disc/cartilage, and bone.  Sometimes old scar tissue can be a cause of the pain.  MRi would be a great place for you to start then a proper treatment plan can be formed for you.

Have a great day,
