Expert: Brian Jones Date: 3/1/2001 Subject: Acura 3.2 TL
Question We just bought a 2001 Acura 3.2 TL. I am only 5ft 9 inches but I find head is almost touching the roof. Has anybody else also faced this problem?
Answer Well, I could not honestly tell you if other people faced this problem. I have one friend that owns a 3.2, but they have a 2000. I am 5'6 and I come up to his shoulders. So, I asked him. He said that after his wife drives the car, yes his head touches the roof. He says the problem comes because his wife not only moves the seat forward, but she also moves it up, so it's more elevated and she can see better over the steering wheel.
Hopefully this helps, if not, call the dealership, I would think this would be an unsafe driving problem. If you were ever in a wreck the rearview mirror could really cause you some damage.
