Question I am replacing my '93 Integra's master cylinder without ABS. I am told I must "bench bleed" the master before I bolt it in. How do I bench bleed it? Thank you
Answer Easy answer: They sell brake bleed kits at the automotive parts store. Place the new master cylinder in a vice, hook the brake line kit up to it and run the lines into the resovoir, using a screw driver, you can push on the rear of the master cylinder (piston).dont lift the lines out of the brake fluid until you see there is no more air coming from them. Wear eye protection (trust me).after the air is out of the plastic lines, you can install onto the car.
Yes, you can do this on the car using the same bleed kit, then just hook the lines up after your done.
Usually a 2 person job.
