Subject: engine overheats only above 65mph

Question
I was on the highway and i looked down and the theromostat
was above redline, for no longer than 5 minutes.  I let it cool
down and filled it with aprox. 1 gallon of water and was fine.
Then the next time i was on the highway I got to about half way
and i slowed to 65 and the thermostat dropped a little and
stayed there.  I went to an autoparts store and got a seals all
radiator leaks additive.  Ive been fine at 65 and im afriad to take
it any higher.  I need to commute everyday on the highway and
dont want to break down.  Any ideas.  Oh its a 95 accord but the
honda techs are all on vacation, thought an overheating problem
might be universal.

Answer
Stop and flush out whatever stop leak you have put in it.
You clearly have a leak somwhere, and overheating problems are universal but you can be doing more harm than good.
I suggest renting a car or car pooling until your car is repaired.
Just my opinion.
Stop leak clogs more than just leaks. It blocks the flow of crucial cooling components.
